Now the athletic season is over it’s time for a change of sports, and today’s event was a kayak slalom at Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire.

With all the rain over night I had a trip out to the local river for some shots of paddlers.
I was disappointed in how many where there, in my day a flooded river and we were off paddling it was like bees to a honey pot, but there were only a few today and the standard was not that high so not many great action shots.
Now the place I went for the kayak shots is right next to the East Lancs Railway and it would be churlish got to grab a steam train.
