Off work this week so had a little trip out to Darwen. It was Just Dave and EOS John from the TP forum who showed me this place a few weeks ago, and boy was it full of fungi today.

Today Just Dave and eosjohn from the Talk Photography forums very kindly invited me along on their fungi hunt, and a good day it was too. I now know why I’ve never found the fungi before, I did not realize how small they actually are.

Dave one of the members on the talkphotography forum took a photo of a Fly Agaric fungi. As dave lives locally I asked where he had seen it.
So off I trot this morning and found the spot Dave said, but I’m a week too late and they are now looking the worst for wear. No point setting the tripod and making an effort for such a tatty specimen, but at least I know where to go next year
