The 4th / 5th September was the finals weekend of the McCain Young Athletes League for track and filed held at the Alexandria Stadium in Birmingham. Travelled down for the weekend stop in the officials hotel Saturday night. A long and trying photo shoot and then a longer week processing the 2200 plus images after.

The 2009 Ironman UK event was held in Bolton this year. The 1200 competitors had a 6:00 am start for the 2.5 miles swim to be followed by 112 miles of bike racing and lastly a 26.2 mile run.
Philip Graves, in his first full ironman won by just just under 3min and got his place on the plane to Hawaii for the world championships in October
