Washburn WWR 08

I wasn’t going to go this year but with it being such a nice day today, we decided to have a trip to Blubberhouses for the Washburn WWR. I think there were more togs than paddlers.

Red Admirals

On our way home today we called in at my aunties house. Now she has a stunning garden with several Buddleia plants, the ones butterflies love.

I have never seen so many butterflies in her garden at once, there were six Red Admirals on just one plant. Also they did not flutter off when I approached them as normal, but unfortunately I only had the 70-200 with macro left at home, but at least I did get a couple of shots.

Fungi Hunt

Today Just Dave and eosjohn from the Talk Photography forums very kindly invited me along on their fungi hunt, and a good day it was too. I now know why I’ve never found the fungi before, I did not realize how small they actually are.
